George Varettas is an enthusiastic young animator based in Sydney. It was his strong interest in digital practices that led him to study Digital Media at the College of Fine Arts, UNSW. Throughout his degree he discovered his passion in 3D animation, which he ultimately pursued, graduating with First Class Honours in animation.
During his studies he created two short animated films: ‘Billy & Snoggles – Getting Pussed Acne’ (2009) and ‘Fragments’ (2010). Both films were extremely well received among his peers and mentors, winning numerous awards.
George is currently applying the knowledge gained throughout his university studies within the industry environment. He hopes to further develop and expand upon his character animation skill set, and ultimately better engage and entertain his audiences.
