Proud to be part of the incredibly talented animation team at Animal Logic working on the upcoming Peter Rabbit film. Really enjoying this project and learning a lot from the artists around me as we try to find the right balance between creature and character animation. I even had a hand in a few of these trailer shots!
The Clues to a Great Story
Andrew Stanton gives a fantastic talk on creating a great story. The man should know too after his success with Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Wall-E amongst others!
I found this talk both insightful and inspiring as I think the most important part of animation is telling a story and engaging with the audience on some level. It's definitely worth a watch for anyone in the creative industry.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Recently I was lucky enough to work on this film and I couldn't be more excited for it's release. Luma Pictures In Melbourne gave me the opportunity to come in and animate on the film, unfortunately we have to wait for the next trailer to see more of our animation work but for the time being I thought I'd share the first trailer to easily one of my favourite projects so far. I had a great time with Luma on this one, they were extremely gracious and welcoming and I've come out with a whole studio of new friends.
Walking With Dinosaurs Released!
It's been a while since a film I've worked on was released. When animation wrapped up on Walking With Dinosaurs, we had to patiently wait a year before seeing it in all it's glory. That day finally came in Australia on New Years Day and I couldn't help but head over to the nearest cinema to check it out.
Despite reviews and opinions on the addition of the voices (a last minute decision and a complete direction change to what the film was when we animated it), Animal Logic's visuals have been thoroughly praised. Every review I've read adores the visual style and animation and is a testament to the hard work by the team at Animal Logic and the direction we were under.
It's always so exciting to see your hard work pay off and it truly is an incredible feeling to look around the cinema and see people enjoying what you worked so hard to help create. Children laughed throughout the film and genuinely seemed to enjoy it, with one very big kid being way too excited at every moment:

I Frankenstein Trailer
I Frankenstein's trailer is now available online and I'm happy to share it with you! It contains a lot of work from my talented freinds and colleagues at Iloura in Melbourne. Unfortunately I'll have to hold off on showing my work until the film is released but this trailer certainly gives you a great idea of the quality of the animation put into the gargoyles. Hopefully this trailer gets you as excited for this films release as I am!
I, Frankenstein Posters
So apparently the trailer for the film I, Frankenstein that I worked on was revealed at Comic Con however it wasn't released to the rest of us on the internet. They have given us a tease of what to expect however in the form of 3 movie posters (below) and one animated film poster.

A lot of work went into this film at Iloura. We had some big shots and small amounts of time so it's always nice to see the promo material do the rounds and get people excited for our efforts. I'm really loving the posters they've shown off and can't wait to see the trailer they cut together to sell the story.
